ABOUT
Carol A. Jeney began her law career in 1974 as a legal secretary. In 1977, she became employed at another Scotch Plains law firm. Throughout her years at that firm, she pursued first a certificate in paralegal studies and, later, her undergraduate degree, which she earned from Rutgers University in 1990.  She then began her studies at Temple University School of Law, and she returned during breaks and summer vacations as a law clerk for the firm.

After graduating from law school in 1993, Ms. Jeney clerked for Union County Superior Court Judge Miriam N. Span.  Upon completion of her clerkship in 1994, she returned to her former firm and remained with that firm until March 2000, when she joined her husband, Bob, in the practice of law.

Ms. Jeney’s practice is concentrated in the area of family law.  She is a member of the Union County Bar Association (where she formerly served as Co-Chair of the Family Law Committee). She formerly served as Young Lawyer Trustee to the Union County Bar Association, as Chair of the UCBA Young Lawyers’ Division, and as an officer of Women Lawyers in Union County.  She also served as President of the Union County Bar Association for the year 2010. Ms. Jeney has been sitting as a panelist on the Superior Court Matrimonial Early Settlement Program in Union County for many years.
